Sun Valley Economic Summit 2015

The Fourth annual Sun Valley Economic Summit will host keynote speaker Gordon Jones, the founding dean of Boise State College of Innovation & Design. Jones will be speaking on identifying the new pathways of learning which provides students across public education with the valuable skills that are required and meet with many of the emerging workplace demands.

Time and Place

The summit is being held at the Sun Valley Resort in the Limelight Room on October 7, 2015 from 8 a.m. till 2 p.m. The theme for the economic event is “Succeeding in the Age of Innovation.”

Keynote Speaker

Prior to Boise State, Gordon was part of the Evans Family Foundation as managing director for the Harvard Innovation Lab. Serving as the inaugural director from 2011, Gordon led the Harvard i-lab from its primary launch to current maturity with over 600 ventures that were incubated and a total of $250MM that was raised in funding since its opening.

Representing over 20 years experience, Gordon served in senior positions with startups, mid-size ventures and Fortune 500 companies across multiple sectors. Gordon brings with him a deep passion for education from the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a commitment to mentoring upcoming leaders. Previously serving as an adjunct lecturer at Bentley University, teaching marketing for MBA and undergraduates. Many of the organizations he has worked with include: Gillette, Proctor & Gamble, American Biophysics, PepsiCo, General Mills, Universal Pest Solutions and the Orme School. He is also a graduate of Brown University and received an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Networking and coffee starts at 8 a.m. The summit will begin promptly at 10:15 a.m. and will conclude by 2 p.m.
